Dashashwamedh Ghatदशाश्वमेध घाट
The ghat where the city gathers. Named for the ten-horse sacrifice Brahma is said to have performed here, it is the stage for the evening Ganga Aarti, when seven priests raise tiered lamps in unison to conch and bell.

- Watching from a boat on the water gives the fullest view of the lamps.
- The upper platforms near Man Mandir Ghat stay calmer than the steps.
