Namo Ghatनमो घाट

The old Khidkiya Ghat rebuilt as a broad, step-free riverfront at the northern end of the city: an open-air theatre, a floating jetty, a helipad and the three folded-hands sculptures that gave it its name. Inaugurated in November 2024.

Tips

  • It is the easiest ghat for wheelchairs and prams.
  • Boats and the cruise terminal for Sarnath-side trips leave from here.

How to reach

  • 5.1 km from Varanasi Junction (Cantt) station in a straight line
  • 22.8 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in a straight line
  • 3.7 km from Godowlia crossing, where cars stop for the old city in a straight line

Straight-line distances; by road through the lanes it is further.
