Panchganga Ghatपंचगंगा घाट

Where five rivers are said to meet, four of them unseen. The Bindu Madhav temple stands here, and on these steps, tradition says, the weaver Kabir received his mantra from the saint Ramananda before dawn.

Tips

  • Climb the steps to the Alamgir Mosque terrace for the widest view of the river bend.
  • Akash-deep lamps are hoisted on tall bamboo here through the month of Kartik.
