Ganga Mahotsavगंगा महोत्सव
A five-day festival of classical music and dance on the riverfront, organised by Uttar Pradesh Tourism, with crafts, boat races and food stalls. It ends with Dev Deepawali.

Reaching Varanasi
Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (Babatpur) is 25 km north-west of the city, with direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad; a prepaid taxi to the ghats takes about an hour.
Varanasi Junction (Cantt) is the main station; Banaras (Manduadih) and Kashi stations also serve the city. The Vande Bharat from Delhi takes about 8 hours; Cantt to Godowlia is 20–30 minutes by auto.
