Next

Last held:

On Rangbhari Ekadashi Shiva is said to bring Parvati home to Kashi after their wedding, and the temple and lanes turn red with gulal. The next day ascetics and devotees mark Masaan Holi with ash at the cremation ghats: a ritual of the city's own, to be watched quietly and without photographing the pyres.
