This guide sets out their times, which ones need a ticket, what the tickets cost and how to book them only through the temple trust. Figures are as published on 12 October 2026; the trust's own pages differ on some times, and we show both.

Mangala aarti

The Mangala aarti is the first aarti of the day, held in the Brahma muhurta before sunrise, from 3 to 4 am. Only ticket holders attend. Devotees are let in between 2:30 and 3 am, and each devotee must carry an identity card along with a printed copy of the ticket.

The trust sells two quotas, both opening daily at 11 am. General tickets are sold for the next 30 days; holders enter by Gate No. 1 (Dhundi Raj Ganesh) and sit in the South LED area. Tatkal tickets are sold for the next day only; holders enter by Gate 4B and sit in the North LED area. The calendar on 12 October 2026 showed most General dates sold out and a Tatkal quota of 100 for each day.

Sapta Rishi aarti

अधिकृतपणे निश्चित नाही — प्रवासापूर्वी तपासा

The trust describes the Sapta Rishi aarti as a ritual more than 750 years old. Seven Shastris, each of a different gotra, perform the aarti together. It is believed that the seven sages, the Saptarishis, come every evening to offer aarti to the deity.

अधिक वाचा

It begins at 7 pm. The booking page and the FAQ give the end as 8:15 pm; the rituals page gives 8:30 pm. Ticket holders are advised to enter at 6:30 pm. On Purnima, the full-moon day, the aarti starts one hour earlier.

Tickets and prices

Four aartis are ticketed. Children below 12 enter free. One booking covers up to five people. Tickets cannot be cancelled, refunded or moved to another date; the FAQ explains that the amount is treated as a donation to the temple.

  • Mangala aarti: ₹500
  • Madhyahna Bhog aarti: ₹300
  • Sapta Rishi aarti: ₹300
  • Shringar-Bhog aarti: ₹300
  • Shayan aarti: no ticket listed
  • Sugam Darshan: ₹300 per person
अधिक वाचा

Sugam Darshan, the escorted queue-less darshan, costs ₹300 on both the booking page and the FAQ as of 12 October 2026. A ₹250 figure appears on some third-party sites, but we found no trust page that uses it. Sugam Darshan is not given during aarti times. Festival rates can differ: in Sawan 2022 the trust charged ₹1,000 for Mangala and ₹500 for the other aartis. We found no Sawan rates for 2026.

How to book (official channels only)

Book on shrikashivishwanath.org or the trust's own app, linked from that site. Sign in, choose the aarti, date and number of people, and pay. Online booking opens from the next day; same-day tickets are sold only at the trust's counters, at the helpdesk near Gate No. 4, the Yatri Suvidha Kendras (YSK-1, 2 and 3), Mandir Chowk, the temple precinct and Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Look-alike websites have taken money for aarti and Sugam Darshan bookings; one such site, reported in 2025, collected about ₹10 lakh. In 2026 police arrested people posing as guides or priests who sold 'Sugam' or 'VIP' darshan. The trust does not sell tickets through agents. If money leaves your account but the booking fails, the FAQ says the refund comes within 7 working days; the helpline is 6393131608 or support@shrikashivishwanath.org.

On the day: reporting, gates, what to carry

Report half an hour before your aarti: 2:30 am for Mangala, 10:45 am for Bhog, 6:30 pm for Sapta Rishi and 8:30 pm for Shringar-Bhog. Mangala ticket holders use the gate printed for their quota; for the other aartis the FAQ says any gate will do. Show the printed ticket at the entry point, and carry an identity card.

The FAQ says no electronic or non-electronic gadgets, including pens, are allowed inside; phones, smartwatches and earphones are banned. Free lockers are at Mandir Chowk, YSK-1, YSK-2, YSK-3 and the helpdesk. There is no dress code, but the trust asks devotees to dress decently.

Divyang devotees are not charged for darshan. During Sawan 2026 the administration ran e-rickshaws and free golf carts inside the Dham for elderly and differently-abled visitors; ask at the helpdesk whether they are running on other days.

Festival days and Shravan

On Maha Shivratri the regular schedule gives way to the four prahar aartis through the night. All online bookings for 15 and 16 February were cancelled, and the temple stayed open for 45 hours.

In Shravan (Sawan), Mondays bring a special shringar of Baba and the heaviest crowds. In 2026, Sugam Darshan was withheld on the Mondays of 10, 17 and 24 August, and Mangala aarti tickets for most Sawan dates were sold out early; a local report put the daily quota at 100. Exact aarti times for Sawan Mondays were not published, so check the trust's site before you go.

If you cannot attend

The trust streams live darshan on its website and its official YouTube channel; in Sawan 2026 the administration also listed a Tata Sky channel. In Sawan 2026, LED screens at seven points in the Dham showed live darshan.

The trust also offers a one-Shastri Rudrabhishek by video conference for ₹700, booked on the same portal. For darshan hours, Sugam Darshan and entry rules, see our Kashi Vishwanath darshan guide.
